I really do not know where to begin. For a week I have been contemplating what I could say about last Wednesday's horrific tragedy that took place at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. I am relieved that the kids I personally know are physically safe. I am completely broken-hearted over the number of innocent kids and teachers that are no longer with their families. I am angry that shootings have become a common occurrence in our country and that our elected government officials have, time and again, failed to keep our children (and anyone for that matter) safe from gun violence. Finally, I am scared this could happen again.

Truth is, every time I think about the massacre that took place, my eyes well up with tears, not only because I am truly devastated, but because I feel helpless. I help people for a living, and yet, I have been speechless since Wednesday, February 14th. That being said, I decided that what I can do is offer my services. If you have any questions regarding you, a child, your friend, a family member, etc. pertaining to the shooting that recently took place and devastated our community, and country, please write me. When sending me your questions, feel free to give your name or remain anonymous. However, in either case, I promise to uphold the same standards of confidentiality as if you were in my office.

You can send your questions to drjlanden@gmail.com.

I will answer them as quickly and precisely as possible.
